I champion others on their path towards well-being.
I’m Bailey Reagan, a positive psychology trained life optimization coach, workshop facilitator, community builder, and speaker championing others of their path towards well-being. My journey to positive psychology and this work began during my junior year at Ithaca College where I read two strikingly different books - The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Despite their differences, these books supported me in recognizing two very important things:
1) We control our happiness and our well-being.
2) Happiness and well-being looks and feels different to everyone.
Once I understand these two lessons, I knew that I had to make it my mission to help others design a personal and professional life that is meaningful to them, one that is abundant in the factors that define their unique vision of happiness and well-being.
Because of this, I dove head, heart, and feet first into books, videos, courses, and classes. I received my Master’s of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and learned the history, theory and research methods of positive psychology, as well as its application in professional settings. I later earned my Certificate of Applied Positive Psychology from the Flourishing Center and honed my skills within the more practical application of positive psychology tools and interventions. These credentials, along with my strengths, have allowed me to practice positive psychology on a macro-level within higher education, professional membership associations, and early stage start-ups. I’m currently working towards my Applied Positive Psychology Coaching and Associate Certified Coach certification from the Flourishing Center and the International Coaching Foundation in order to work on an individual level with clients to help help them craft the personal and professional lives they truly desire.
When I’m not wrapped up in lengthy discussions about the good life and supporting others on their well-being path, I’m drinking mezcal (or too much coffee), eating my way through any menu, watching The Office, dancing to Macklemore, or hanging out in downward facing dog.
